Why learn PDR

Why should you learn paintless dent repair?

Learning the art of paintless dent repair (PDR) is an incredible opportunity for anyone passionate about cars and hands-on work. PDR is a specialized skill that allows technicians to remove dents and dings from vehicles without damaging the paint, which means it's a less invasive and more cost-effective repair method compared to traditional bodywork.

For car enthusiasts, this career offers the chance to work with a variety of vehicles, solving problems creatively and efficiently. Not only does it provide a rewarding challenge for those who enjoy working with their hands, but it also offers a stable and lucrative career path. With the increasing demand for fast and affordable vehicle repairs, skilled PDR technicians are always in high demand, making it a great field for anyone looking to turn their passion for cars into a successful profession.

“Camren killed it! I had a dent in the driver side door of my 2022 RAM 2500 just underneath the door handle. Now that he's finished, you would never know there was a dent there in the first place.”

The craft

Reading the panel, under the light.

Paintless dent repair is done by reading the reflection: a light board or line board shows the dent, and the metal is worked back from behind until the reflection runs straight again.
